Value Methodology Fundamentals Part 1
Value Methodology Fundamentals 1 (formerly VE Module 1) is a certified course of SAVE International, the international society that governs the content and certification of value practitioners. Value Management/ Engineering introduces the concepts, history and many examples of Value Management/ Engineering/ (VM/VE) in practice in the public and private sector. This course will be of benefit to executive, managers, engineers, project managers and business analysts to determine what types of VE/VM studies would be of benefit to your company. For project managers and technical staff, this course will assist in the capabilities of VM/VE to increase value of the project and minimize the potential of cost over runs, scope creep and extension to project schedules. Topics include:
- What Value Management/ Engineering is and what it is not
- History and Applications
- Key success factors of a good VE/VM workshop
- 6 Step Value Management/Engineering structured process
- Workshop (each session will include a mini‐workshop to give the participants practical experience in each step of the process)
Benefits: Each participant will understand the Value Management/ Engineering structured methodology and will be able to understand how this problem solving methodology can be applied in their workplace. Each participant will be able to be a knowledgeable and effective participant in any Value Management/ Engineering workshops planned by your company.
